Spring is just around the corner! Instead of just focusing on Spring cleaning, here are 5 quick tips for updating and refreshing your home!

1. Reorganize the Kitchen
No time for a full blown kitchen remodel? Cleaning and reorganizing your kitchen will help it feel a bit more brand new. Find room for countertop appliances such as the coffee maker and toaster oven and reorganize your kitchen by activity (See our Kitchen Organization blog post). For a bigger project, consider repainting kitchen cabinets and replacing outdated hardware.
2. Replace Light Bulbs and Add Dimmers
Spring cleaning calls for light bulb replacement and adding of dimmers. New, bright light will do wonders to the look and feel of a space. Switching out static light switches for dimmable light switches is pretty simple and will give you the control of lighting that you’ve always wanted!
3. Update Fabrics
Replace your fabric items including towels, sheets, comforters, pillows, throws, and dog beds. New and brighter fabrics are a great was to give your home an easy makeover and fresher your home up.
4. Change Furniture Placement
Spring is a great time to get rid of and replace furniture, but you could also rearrange the furniture that you already own for a no cost update. This is great for rooms or areas where pieces of furniture are not being utilized!
5. Add a Pop of Color
Finally you’ll want to add a pop of a color that reflects the Spring season to your home decor. Choose a new color that you love and sprinkle it throughout a room or your entire home. Repeat it in all items that are replaceable and inexpensive such as pillows, throws, picture frames, and candles.
